1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5
In 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5, Paul reminds the church at Corinth, which was living in a culture of hero-worship of the famous, influential, and powerful, that we are called to be people of the cross. The cross of Christ reveals God’s wisdom, which is salvation through Christ’s suffering and death, and releases the power of God to those who are called to follow in the way of the cross, which has the power to transform lives and enable us to live in the realm of God’s everlasting kingdom.
