Sisters and brothers,
Happy early Monday to all! It was great to worship with God’s people today and remember the greatness of our God and Savior. We know nothing in all the earth and no power of hell can separate us from the God who saved us through Jesus. From Romans 5 we saw that death reigns like a tyrant over every human being, but the free gift of life in Jesus frees us from the tyranny of death. Christ Jesus’ obedience leads to justification and life for all who are in Christ.Jesus humbled Himself and obeyed and His obedience more than conquers death for us. We no longer have to fear death. David wrote,
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” (Psalm 23:4, KJV)
Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil; for Jesus is with all who believe! The obedience of our Savior Jesus more than overcomes the curse of sin and death that hangs over every human being.
Continue to pray for Alice, Connie Boss’ sister-in-law, who is being treated for pancreatic cancer. Her first round of treatment did not shrink the tumors, so she will be starting a different and stronger chemo.
Remember to keep praying continually for each other.
