Luke 23:32-38
The people around Jesus stood condemned even though they were ignorant of their sin. Ignorance of the law does not excuse the offense, so humanity stands condemned also; but, just as Jesus, dying on the cross, offered forgiveness for those killing Him, so He offers forgiveness to us who are ignorant of the consequences of our sin, specifically in the case of abortion.

Ephesians 3:14-21
Paul knows that the Ephesians desperately needed the Spirt of God to provide spiritual strength for them to endure and persevere. A life lived as “ministers of the gospel” in a dark and broken world is not something that we can do on our own power. We need Christ’s resources for Christ’s work.

Do Not Lose Your Anointing

1 Kings 19:1-16
God used Elijah to encourage the people of Israel to come back to God. He then demonstrated His awesome power through Elijah through many miracles, but Elijah allowed fear to rule over him. This resulted in Elijah losing his position and anointing as the prophet of God. How do we properly use our strengths for God’s service and how do we keep from losing that position as Elijah did? Falling to fear in lack of faith is a bad starting point that can lead down a losing path. Have faith! Take courage!
