The Bible is clear that the call of Christian parents is to train and teach their children according to the gospel. Admittedly, in today’s world this represents a parent’s greatest challenge. We at EMBC eagerly desire as a church to support parents in this effort. We do this by reinforcing parental teaching at home and equipping them with necessary tools. We desire to partner with families to cultivate God-centered, cross-focused children. Our goal is to teach children about God and cultivate their spiritual growth–not babysit or entertain. Below you'll find a listing of our different ministries.

Sunday school

Every Sunday at 9:30am kids from Pre-school to High School ages meet in various classes for Bible study and discipleship.

Children’s church

Our families worship together as they read the same Scriptures, hear the same prayers, and sing the same songs. We believe that it is important for everyone to learn from God's Word when we gather. So when it is time for the sermon, we believe that younger children can learn best when instructed according to their age. That’s what Children Church is for. Kids from Kindergarten through age eight are invited to attend one of three classes during the pastor’s sermon. Older children remain present during the sermon.

Music & Missions

On Sunday evening children enjoy a time of worshipping God through song and learning about what He is doing around the globe. This class meets during the adult Bible study each Sunday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The purpose is to open children’s eyes to God’s work among all nations.

Awana

Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. The core element of our program is Scripture memorization. Each child receives a handbook to take home and work on with their parents throughout the week. At our meetings they recite their verses, play games, learn about the Gospel through a short teaching lesson and just have fun being kids. We meet each Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm during the Awana year (Sept-May). For more information about Awana, you can visit the Awana page.

Nursery

There is a nursery available on Sundays when we meet.
